What the configurator is for

Prototype configurator, from use case to the right scope.

The jump from an idea to the right scope is the hardest spot for many. The prototype configurator takes that framing off your plate. You choose your use case, state which systems should be connected and how your data looks, and get a recommendation on how extensive a first prototype should be. The output is a scope recommendation, not a price list. The configurator deliberately names no prices, because the concrete effort is only settled in the strategy call.

Possible results

  • Scope: lean
  • Scope: medium
  • Scope: extensive

The scope level is a classification, not an offer and not a price.

The calculation runs only in your browser, nothing is transmitted or stored.

How the tool calculates
  • Two to three systems +1 point, more than three +2.
  • Data scattered or unclear +1, data has to be collected first +2.
  • Compliance medium +1, high +2.
  • Voice agent or AI feature in your own product +1.
  • 0 to 1 points: lean, 2 to 3: medium, 4 or more: extensive.

What you gain

You gain a clear picture of the first step.

  • Instead of guessing whether your project is a lean prototype or a larger build, you see a reasoned framing and the main factors that drive the scope.

  • That makes the strategy call more efficient, because you arrive with a concrete idea.

  • And you recognize early which groundwork pays off, for instance cleaning up data or clarifying access.

How the configurator works

The configurator asks four questions and derives a scope level from them, from lean to extensive. The logic runs client-side in the browser, your inputs do not leave the page. At the end there is a recommendation with a scope level, the driving factors and a fitting entry, plus a CTA to the strategy call.

Selection fields

  1. Which use case do you want to build?

Options: assistant (e.g. email, knowledge bot), automation (e.g. reporting, document extraction), voice agent, AI feature in your own product, still unclear.

  2. How many systems should be connected?

Options: none (stands alone), one system, two to three, more than three.

  3. How is your data situation?

Options: clean and available, partly available, scattered or unclear, has to be collected first.

  4. How high are the compliance requirements?

Options: low (internal, no personal data), medium (personal data, standard GDPR), high (regulated, possible high-risk classification).

Recommendation logic

The recommendation comes straight from your answers. The logic runs only in the browser, without data collection beyond the answers. The output is a scope level, never a price.

After the recommendation

Every recommendation ends with the scope level, the driving factors and a link to the fitting entry, AI workshop on An AI workshop with a working prototype at the end, AI implementation on AI implementation that takes the prototype into production, AI development on AI development that takes a prototype to real software. The configurator does not replace a call, it prepares it. So the CTA to the strategy call always stands at the end, where we cut the fixed scope.

Frequently asked questions

Does the configurator name a price?
No. The configurator gives a scope framing, not a price. It shows whether your project is rather lean, medium or extensive and which factors drive the effort. The concrete scope and a quote we settle in the strategy call, where we cut a fixed scope.
How does the scope level come about?
Through a simple point system. More integrations, an unclear data situation and higher compliance requirements raise the score and thus the scope. Voice agents and product features tend to count as more involved. The sum yields the level from lean to extensive.
Are my inputs stored?
No. The logic runs client-side in the browser, your inputs do not leave the page and are not stored. Only when you book a strategy call do you deliberately enter data for the booking. So the configurator stays a pure orientation aid.
What if my use case is still unclear?
Then better start with the AI use case finder on AI use case finder, which helps choose the use case. The configurator assumes a rough use case to frame the scope. Both tools together take you from a vague wish to a concrete picture for the call.
